This post is extremely tone-deaf.
Sure- it’s great to know how to save money and grow wealth through investments. But to generalize all “rich people” as knowing value and opportunity cost and being successful because they “create their own lives” is wrong because it’s not true. Have we forgotten about generational wealth? Have we forgotten about the prominent wealth gap between White Americans and other minority groups?
You can’t generalize poor people as “always expecting a politician or the government in general to ‘save them’” or viewing themselves as victims. Those who are poor often are victims. For example, redlining continues to hurt marginalized communities
Also, it’s laughable that you should argue that rich people understand “opportunity cost” and “value” better than poor people when just a couple weeks ago we watched one of the richest men in the world spend ~5 billion to fly to space for no reason… is that what we are calling responsible spending? Because I can guarantee that any person without wealth would much rather spend that money at Walmart rather than a 10-minute space trip.
